What do you like best about being a student or the parent of a student at PDT?

-The quality of the instruction and the spirit of the studio. It is the perfect blend of rigor and joy.
-The teachers!
-How the other students and parents are cordial with one another
-My daughter enjoys the ballet classes because she feels the classes have made her stronger and more confident since she has been a student atPDT.
-We feel that this year the instructors are really good and do well in correcting the students.
-My daughter loves the teacher, the emphasis on learning proper technique, and it is fun.
-I very much appreciate that you let my young son try a class before registering.
-Amazing instructors that know exactly what each student needs to succeed.
-The quality of the instruction is unsurpassed.
-A clean facility. Good ballet training, not focusing on one student, correcting when needed. Excellent ballet staff. Mid-year and end of year evaluations. Schedule (start and end times) good.
-PDT summer intensive strong.
-My daughter is getting such a wonderful experience. The teachers are just the best and my daughter is learning so much. Her technique has improved and that is due to the top-notch teachers!!
-Professional attitudes
- I like that the teachers can be fun yet professional at the same time!
- We are treated like family and you are always willing to answer and solve any problems we might have.
- The quality of dance education, and professionalism.
- Teachers, quality of teaching.
- Nurturing atmosphere; individual attention
- Open to different styles and techniques. Good teachers.
-Knowing that the training is for the most part very high quality and the friendly atmosphere
- Excellent teacher!
-The atmosphere is rigorous, but not rigid. The ballet instruction is serious, but the instructors are warm and approachable.
- The warm, family environment, everyone is so supportive of one another, everyone is so positive. The instruction is also professional and rigorous.
- That the quality of the teaching staff is SO incredibly talented and top-notch... that they are willing to come from NYC (or wherever they are from) to extend their knowledge to the students here... especially Karen Calloway Williams who excels in her field and is not here for show, but she is a TEACHER. As a parent, I appreciate Cyndi (studio manager) so much because she is on top of everything and understands everyone's schedules and needs.
- The unbeatable quality of instruction and caring.

-Kayla had a wonderful experience. I think the smaller setting as compared to other intensives she has attended (Rock and ABT) really showed in her improvement.  Her home teachers noticed improvement right away. The activities for the boarders were fantastic.  For last summer's SI, we visited Kayla every single weekend because there were no activities and she did not want to be stuck in the dorms. This summer, we went up once and when another weekend was being planned, she had her brother come visit her on Saturday night due to being "busy on Sunday".  The Salsa night on Thursday was a great addition.  I know they were exhausted on Friday morning but it really added quite a bit to the whole experience. If we had to come up with a complaint, it might be the lack of air conditioning for the dorms.  We realize it was hotter than normal summer and the lounge was made available for sleeping if necessary, which was nice.  Really, it's probably a good experience for the kids to live like many of us old adults did as kids with no AC! :)  I didn't hear too much about the food except that pasta was on the menu every night at Hun and Sunday nights were always (not terrific) pizza and salad.  Kayla opted for the salad several times instead.  Lunch was not an issue with the food court and that worked out fine. Overall, it was a fantastic SI for Kayla.  Kayla has put PDT on her list of options for next summer and will audition at MYB in the winter. Thanks for a great summer! Laura Hollon
-Thanks so much for all you have done for Joe! He had an incredible time, and I can't believe how much he's improved over the five weeks. It's been amazing to watch him take off in so many different ways. I've never seen him happier or more self-assured. I hope you get some time off for rest and/or vacation. Much deserved!! We'll see you in a few weeks, Best, Kathy
-I just wanted to tell you what a great experience my daughter Elyse is having in the summer intensive.  She feels inspired, and has learned so much!  I wanted you to know that your efforts are appreciated greatly!
Thanks again to you and all the staff ~ Mary Ann Mertz
-At PDT’s summer intensive. I finally understood what all of my teachers had been saying to me for so many years. Not only did I learn the meaning of those words-‘more strength, stop sitting, lengthen your legs’- but I could finally translate it to a whole different language in my body. I feel stronger and much more controlled. In only five weeks, I understood more that I had imagined possible, and this helped me improve tremendously. I really hope to go back to PDT very soon - Camilla Arroyo
