Elyse Mertz

Elyse received her BFA in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. While at Rutgers, she performed in works by Randy James, Megan Frederick, Paul Ocampo, Kyle Abraham, Joe Goode, and others. Participating in American College Dance Association (ACDA) in 2016, she had the wonderful opportunity to perform at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival. In 2018, Elyse completed the American Ballet Theatre® National Training Curriculum in Pre-Primary through Level 3, and has since been an instructor at PDT.

Elyse is a 200-hour certified vinyasa yoga instructor and loves teaching youth! She has studied with Little Flower Yoga to gain her knowledge about teaching to children in various settings. Elyse is also a professional photographer and works as company photographer for Princeton Youth Ballet, among other organizations. She is so happy to bring all of her passions together at PDT!
